As our month in Brittany drew to a close, Chad and I decided to take one last day trip with the express goal of showing Chad around a real French castle.
He hadn’t been with me on my day in Clisson exploring the castle of an infamous piratess, so we needed another castle – and hopefully near Rennes.
What I found was a small Medieval town called Vitre, only a 30-minute train ride away.
This is the castle we found there and the warren of streets around it.
