A Snowy Day in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

by Gigi Griffis

It’s been three years since I left Switzerland and a few months later met my partner.

Three years of road-tripping across whole countries and cycling across others. Three years of culinary adventures in places like Italy and France and Slovenia. Three years of slowly starting to miss Switzerland more and more.

Which is why, finally, as Chad and I started to realize that we really want a European base soon, I proposed that we winter in the Swiss Alps and find out if Chad loves it as much as I do.

Chad is a particular sucker for snow, so the day after a big snowstorm I took him for the first time to my old home and one of the most beautiful places in the world: Lauterbrunnen.

This was the snowscape we wandered through.
