Hiking the World: Into the Grand Canyon
This March, we took our first jaunt below the rim and into the Grand Canyon. Our route was via the popular Bright Angel trail six miles out and another six miles back to the trailhead.
It was a long, tough, beautiful day.

Gorgeous! I’d love to get back to the Grand Canyon one of these days. I was there in May 2003 and, if you can believe it, I camped for 2 nights. It was in a campground that had bathroom facilities, and I ended up sleeping half of each night in my car, but still. I love your picture with the little squirrel π
