Once upon a time, we went to Ottawa

Ottawa

Canada’s capital city. Home to Parliament.

And an estate full of old ruins and gardens.

And a dancing bear, ripe for bear hugs.

And a giant spider, bent on destroying us all.

We spent our time with friends, both human and canine.

Luna was, understandably, a little starstruck.

We hiked through the lush, green surrounding hills of the Canadian Shield.

We went to the local dog festival for some Frenchie kisses and lab agility competitions.

We ate good food and drank maple-flavored aperitifs.

And then, after four days in a city so delightful and unexpected, we bid our farewells.

Luna and Monte were shocked and dismayed.

Oh I love it!! Love it! and I am so glad you all had a great time. Ottawa is far too often overlooked yet has so much to offer. So many things I wanted to show you the canal (Unesco site) for one and the farm within a city! You will have to return! Your pics are totally awesome.

You were great house guests. Welcome back anytime. 🙂

Thanks again for having us! You guys were the best hosts. 🙂

Oozing cuteness! I also had the chance to meet Montecristo and his people IRL in Ottawa. Looks like a great time.

Monte actually makes Luna look big! They’re so cute! Also, that cake in the “maple” section looks amazing!

I know! Very occasionally, Luna looks enormous. It’s happened a couple times with other dogs, too (like Lucia’s little maltese).
