Como Market Hall
Stroll away from Lake Como and into Como center and you might just be lucky enough to stumble on the town’s lush fresh market – a warehouse-like indoor space full of vendors selling everything from Italian oranges to local honey to freshly butchered local chickens.
If fresh markets are one of your great travel loves (they are one of mine), here are the details on how to get there, what you’ll find, and when it’s open.
How to get there
The market is inside a warehouse-like building at Via Giuseppe Sirtori 1.
When to go
The market is open Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 to 13:00 and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 to 19:00.
What to expect
Fresh produce, meats, cheeses, honey, nuts, beans, etc. The market isn’t huge, but is rather robust.
Language
Italian! You will find some English-speakers here, but (obviously) the local language is Italian.
