Happy October! How has your autumn been going so far, friends? Here we’ve been wrapping up our time in Romania with creative projects, hikes through colorful forest, and lots of Skype catch-ups with friends and writing buddies.
Honestly, not much to report on the exploration front. But, as always, there are interesting things to read:
:: I love this piece on break-up travel by my friend Kerra.
“Unlike most post-relationship strategies, travel is not self-indulgent. Travel enables me to be present, get outside of myself and into the world.”
:: Budget time: How much does it cost to travel to Hong Kong and Macau?
:: Women can be anything. But can we be angry? (I am.)
:: A really scary story (and a reminder to the fellows about why we ladies spend more time weighing our safety in everyday situations).
:: Feels like a good time to reprise this: How Solo Travel Taught Me to Love Myself
:: Looking for some incredible fiction? This year, some of my favorite reads/re-reads have been:
:: Three Dark Crowns
:: The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue
:: This Is Not a Werewolf Story
:: And I Darken
:: The School for Good and Evil
