Happy holidays if you celebrate, friends. What have you been up to this December? Luna and I have been on some lovely wintery adventures. First, we spent a week in Innsbruck, Austria, hanging out with my friend Ali, taking long walks along a pretty river, and drinking mulled wine drinks at the clusters of Christmas Market huts scattered around the city center.
Then it was off to Switzerland! For the first time in a almost three years, I’m back in the region I used to call home. Late in the month (just before Christmas), Chad joined Luna and I and then just after Christmas, my BFF and her family headed our way for snowy mountaintop adventures and a possible trip to Italy.
But, enough updates. You’re here for links:
:: This post on what deaf people thought the world might sound like is kind of amazing.
:: A gorgeously written farewell note from my friend Annette to the Digital Nomad life.
:: My BFF on how she took a family of four on a luxurious Thanksgiving vacation (including a cruise and a trip from AZ to FL) for just a couple thousand dollars.
:: How to actually enjoy winter.
:: Looking for a good binge watch? The show 60 Days In (on Hulu) grabbed me and wouldn’t let go.
Related: Want to watch Hulu outside the US? This is the VPN I use.
:: Speaking of binges, The Life After is my current podcast obsession. As someone who was deeply invested in an actual cult in my teen years, I relate deeply to so many episodes.
:: Interested in hidden gems? This post on Lethbridge, Canada, is for you.
:: I’m pretty sure we all need this handmade theme park on our to-visit lists.
