Announcing A Totally Unconventional (& Hopefully Wonderful) New Italy Guidebook

by gigigriffis

Today I am breathless with news.

Why? Because back in November I had an idea.

A big idea.

But I’m getting ahead of myself…

I made a video for you so that I can explain personally.

If you don’t love video, scroll down for a transcript. And don’t forget to scroll all the way down after the video and hop on the mailing list.

Transcript: Hi! My name is Gigi Griffis (from gigigriffis.com) and today I have an exciting announcement to make.

For the past 15 years or so, I’ve been traveling internationally almost every year and for almost two years I’ve been traveling full-time, spending my time in places like where I am today: the Swiss Alps.

The best travel experiences I’ve ever had have all come from knowing a local person. They can tell me the best neighborhoods to stay in, the best little hidden away restaurants…and those have always been my best travel experiences.

So, recently I asked myself: is there any way to give my readers these kinds of experiences–these really authentic local experiences? The solution I came up with is a new book. It’s called ITALY: 100 Locals Tell You Where to Go, What to Eat, and How to Fit In.

This book is going to be a collection of interviews with people who live and work and love in Italy. These are people who know where the best restaurants are, who know what the local dishes are, and who can tell you how to really have that authentic local experience.

I hope you’ll come back in May when the book comes out. Sign up for my mailing list so that you can be the first to know. Why? The first week it comes out, there will be a discount on the book and we’re going to do a big giveaway!
