First, a confession:
So far, 2015 has been pretty horrible.
I’ll get into the details in a later post, but the Reader’s Digest version is that I’ve been in and out of the hospital, unable to eat, dehydrated, completely alone, and crying my eyes out for the last couple weeks. If it sounds like a nightmare, that’s because it was. A horrible, horrible nightmare.
It’s a good thing I had a few interesting interviews ready to publish, because I haven’t even been able to write (apparently, when you can’t eat, you also can’t focus).
And so January is a month that I will be only too glad to put behind me.
Still, part of me wants to redeem January in some small way. To have something good, even if the good thing is something small, that I can point to and tell myself that this month wasn’t all fear and sickness and isolation.
Which is why today I’m asking for a favor, one that I’ve been meaning to ask anyway.
If you purchased one of my guidebooks this year, would you take a minute right now to go and review it on Amazon?
Reviews (even short ones) make a massive difference in my sales and rankings on the site. And I do mean massive. Of my three city guides, Barcelona has the most reviews. It’s also, consequently, the one that sells the best, even though Paris is actually a more popular destination and Prague has less market competition.
And so I’m asking those of you who have copies of my books and haven’t yet reviewed if you would take a moment now.
You can review Italy here, Paris here, Barcelona here, or Prague here.
If you’ve already left me a review, thank you.
If you’re about to, thank you.
Your support means the world to me, especially right now.
