A huge thank you to Rebbau Spiez for inviting me to their beautiful wine event.

If you’re interested in visiting their lovely vineyards and castle, it’s located just down the main street in Spiez (you’ll see the castle from the train; just head toward it). If you like fresh, crisp white wines, try their brand new (unnamed!) white. It’s a little like a sauvignon blanc and is wonderfully refreshing. They’re currently holding wine tastings (which are a bit simpler and more personal than the big VIP event I attended) on Wednesdays and Fridays, and you can buy full bottles anytime during business hours.

All photos taken with my lovely little Lumix.

Switzerland (and Europe in general) has stricter rules about things like chemicals and pesticides. I don’t remember all the details, but I remember my conclusion from what I have read over the years is that Europe is generally a hell of a lot safer. I’m sure you could find some good articles via Google.
