Photo Essay: Cycling Kobarid to Most na Soci (Slovenia)

by Gigi Griffis

When I left Kobarid to slowly make my way toward France, I got an early start, cycling from Kobarid to Most na Soci, probably about 25 kilometers (15 miles) through an atmospheric morning fog.

These photos are the story of that journey.

Hi Gigi,

Thanks for your blog. I enjoy the way you reflect on the adventures and challenges in your life. I wish you well in your journey as a travelling writer. And congratulations with your first vacation in years, I hope you’ll enjoy it.

Since you’re making such nice pictures, maybe you could post one or two photos of your bicycle set-up, with all the luggage and your little pooch (if you already did, I missed them). The way you described it made it seem like something quite extraordinary.

I’ll be looking forward to your next post.

Thanks for the kind words! I do plan on doing a gear/setup post (with photos) when I get back from my France trip. I think it’ll probably publish in October.

Cheers!

Hi Gigi
I was wondering if U have been to Cadiz, Spain. I have a trip planned for january for 14 days, which may be too long for such a small city. I have investigated all the scenic moorish architecture & beautiful beaches online…………. what did U like best ?

Perhaps U have sum suggestions about must see places nearby though I understand Jerez is most known for equestrian events & sherry! Seville might be distant, for a daytrip. Your feedback is most welcome!

Sorry, Denise. I haven’t been! I did like Seville, though, so if you get the chance I do recommend it. It’s really pretty and I think it’s the warmest city in Spain in the winter.
