maybe english is his second language, and he is not proficient at typing either? or adept at using punctuation? possibly even, as in my case, he finds capital letters to be of absolutely no use unless his writing is formal or he expects it to actually be published. personally, i think contacting a woman might be grounds for a more formal writing, or perhaps even spell checking and proofreading at the least.

as far as the “hones” phrase, i believe he may have meant to type “honest”.
