It is both SciFi AND was 9th grade required reading, both of which are normally kind of dealbreakers for me, but I loved it. Grapes of Wrath will kill your soul for like a week but it will be worth it. Steinbeck is so effing beautiful. BOOK EXCHANGE WOOOO, wish Roommate #1 was coming, it sounds like she could contribute some lovely additions;-) Oh man, I totally second Ender’s Game. I believe that's more books than I have read in the previous 25 years combined. This is the influence you have had on me.
